Vacation time!

It’s time for a vacation! From this blog at least.  No worries though, I shall be returning. When, I do not know, but I do know these next few weeks are going to be very overwhelming.  Over the next few weeks I will be moving….twice.  I will ultimately be moving to a new city and taking on new jobs. One job confirmed and another one in the making. I will also be finishing up with the classes I am teaching right now and have at least 5 dance recitals to manage. With all that going on I need as much time as possible to pack, work, and keep myself from losing my head.

With that said, I will still be active on the Something Winnderful Facebook page, as well as Twitter and Instagram.  Why should you follow me on those sights? One, to know when I return to posting, two, because I post some pretty awesome things.  Following me through social media will keep you updated on food, style, and anything awesome I find online.

So please!

Join me in the social media world and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Happy Stylin’ Sunday, where everything is stylin and all under $50!  Spring is in the air (some days) and I find myself feeling the need to own everything floral.  With that obsession in mind, today’s Stylin’ Sunday shares some of my favorite floral finds under $50.  Hope you enjoy!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!  As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’ve been slacking on posting this week.  BUT, I have a great reason as to why.  Today’s Friday Favorites might be my favorite post of them all.  Why? Because this week has been full of many many smiles and I want to share them all with you.

As you know, we lost our baby Daisy a few weeks ago.  Though we are still sad about the loss, we are so thrilled to have welcome the great Gatsby into our hearts this past week.  And boy let me tell you, he is a big boy.  A wonderful staff member of the shelter connected us with Gatsby as he was being brought into the shelter.  We were unsure about adopting again so soon, but we just couldn’t say no to this BIG ‘ole cuddle bug.  He’s a 25 pound, 12 week old Labrador/Catahoula mix.  He’s gonna be a big boy.

Something Winnderful's puppy the great GatsbyIsn’t he adorable!?  I could post photo after photo of him.  You know those mom’s who post every single photo ever taken of their baby?  I understand why now.  Don’t worry, I’m not going to be that mom, and torture you all.  But I must apologize to close friends and family because I send them at least one picture a day of Gatsby.  But I mean, how could I not share these pictures with them?  He’s just too cute.

Gatsby CollageIf pictures of Gatsby just aren’t cute enough for you, I’ve stumbled across some fantastically adorable lists of dogs thanks to the always reliable Buzzfeed.  This weeks lists shows the struggle of the college admissions process through a series of corgi pictures.

College admissions told through corgisIf you haven’t already noticed, this Friday Favorites has been a little bit puppy obsessed, but I certainly don’t mind.  I hope you all don’t either!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday everyone!  If you’re like me and have today off, you’re most certainly having a happy Friday!  It’s been a rough week with the passing of our much loved little puppy, Daisy, but I finally have good news.  I want to share it with you today, but I think I’m going to wait a few days to be safe.

For today’s Friday Favorites I want to share with you some of my favorite internet links of the week.  If you need a good laugh or a nice “awww” moment, then I’ve got you covered.  Prepare yourself though, none of these links are related in any way, so subject matter will change quickly.  It’ll be okay though, I promise.

This week the LEO Zoological Conservation Center in Greenwich, Connecticut welcomed a baby giraffe to their family.  If you’ve never watched a baby giraffe stand for the first time, then you’ve never seen the most awkward yet cutest thing ever.

Now that your eyes hurt from the cuteness, let’s talk about the kitchen.  Do you ever feel like a failure when you try and cook?  It’s okay if you said yes, because I most certainly fail in the kitchen more than I’d care to admit. Fortunately for us, Buzzfeed has created a great meme list to boost our self esteem.  Feel free to check out their list of 37 people worse at cooking than you.

Cooking fail

Coming back to the giraffe find, kinda not really, here’s my favorite find of the week.  It’s another winner from Buzzfeed.  Twenty-one dogs who don’t realize how big they are.  I mean, if that doesn’t tell you how cute it’s gonna be, I don’t know what would.  I am a sucker for big dogs.  I used to be scared of them, but now I must hug and talk in my awkward puppy voice to every big dog I see.  Just look at these guys.

That’s it for Friday Favorites!  Different from the usual but I think a random list of happiness is a good way to end a rough week.  What are your favorite things from this week?
